I am giving an offer to a Short Sale. The listing agent has not told me whether or not buyer’s lender approved the offer. But listing wants to add to contract I have to close on or before Nov. 4. is that possible to close in 2 weeks?

We have fallen behind in our mortgage, because of a job loss and had to put out home up for a short sale in January. I was wondering how long will the bank allow us to have it on the market before they decide to foreclose on us.

I was curious, how long after a short sale in the state of Florida can you qualify for a new loan at a reasonable interest rate? My boyfriend has had the short sale, and I have not, and would be a first time home buyer with excellent credit. When do you think we could qualify with his situation?

My husband & I made an offer on a short sale home on May 9th- seller accepted right away. Bank still needs to give approval. Today is day 29 without a response from the bank.
Last I heard the bank was still working on doing an appraisal and trying to get concessions from the seller.

What are concessions from the seller?

I heard it can take months for them to respond, but the house already has an appraisal on file at Countrywide and I was told that Countrywide just recently got a short sale “department” to speed up the process. Anyone have any idea or estimate of how long we will be waiting for a response?
